Role in the conflict
Seris represents settlements whose autonomy has repeatedly been promised and then qualified by the crown. She works for prisoner returns, local courts, consent for troop movements, and limits on requisitions.
Convictions
She will not exchange enforceable rights for a benevolent ruler’s personal assurance. She has political opponents and friends at home, and does not represent a culture that speaks with one voice.
Relationship arc
Love that does not annex. Choosing Pyrrhus cannot mean surrendering the people and obligations that make her herself. A hopeful relationship makes room for two homes and responsibilities that neither partner can simply discard.
