Mira returns from surgical training with experience Pyrrhus has not shared. Their familiarity is a source of warmth and a reason they sometimes assume too much about one another.

She wants medical work funded and respected after the armies stop attracting attention. She insists on treating wounded enemies under the same triage standards. Compassion is a policy with practical costs, not an unlimited resource Pyrrhus can promise on her behalf.
Relationship arc
Love that survives being needed. Mira can love Pyrrhus while refusing a life organized entirely around his next near-fatal act of usefulness. The hopeful route builds shared decisions, local medical capacity, and room for ordinary pleasure.
