World Tale'Nora Country Common Maelstrom Crown N/A Isolated Tale'Nora has eras long past been an independent island nation isolated from the rest of the world. It's nation forever wreathed in storms, a shifting ring of razor-reefs and living tempests known as the Maelstrom Crown. Its people, the Talen, are master sailors and storm-forged warriors who revere the wind as memory itself and wield lightning as its righteous spear. Huatlan has tried to conquer them for generations, but imperial warships break upon the reefs while Talen gliders and wind-callers ride the storms that only they can read. To the Empire, the islands are an impossible prize—untouchable, unknowable, and forever carried by the winds they cannot command. Their strict demands and respect of their traditions found them excluded from the arms race the rest of Ayelette faced that lead to the Purge, thus giving them exemption from the ravaged wartorn consequences everyone else faced due to the shadow rifts. To this day, the an anomaly to most, rarely making contact outside their domain.
