Continuity guardrails and unresolved author decisions

The existing website places Pyrrhus in a much later, world-changing conflict and describes him as the last of his bloodline at that later point. This draft deliberately does not explain that status by killing Ciro and Xeno during this campaign. Their later fates, descendants, and the interval between stories require separate decisions. The three brothers can survive this game without contradicting a later account whose intervening history has not yet been written.

Menelea remains the creator's kingdom. It should not be silently equated with Menea or other similarly named locations on the site. The geography in the maps is proposed production geography, not a claim about established canon. Likewise, the king's name Edric, Mara's surname, the creditor system, and Xeno's succession settlement can be changed without discarding the emotional structure.

The strongest fixed commitments for the next draft are the brothers' birth order and roles, Mara's successful plea for exile, the pre-Purge time boundary, and a civil war caused by human institutions under strain. The political details should be revised around any additional canon the creator supplies. The game needs magic as a combat and cultural element if desired, but magic should not absolve the people responsible for the war or replace the final human confrontation.

The next writing pass should turn this treatment into playable scenes with speaker lists, map objectives, choice conditions, state changes, and alternate dialogue. The first vertical slice should cover Cinderford, the decision to leave a governor behind, the journey to Whitebridge, and the brothers' reunion. That sequence tests the game's central promise: a battle changes a place, leaving that place has consequences, and family history complicates the responsibility the player has chosen.
